Mr. P. Halley, Conciliation Commissioner, left Wellington on Saturday for the North. Mr. lan 11. Mucarthur, who has been associated with the late firm of Morison, Smith, and Morison for the past three years, lias been appointed associate to Mr. Justice Smith. An Australian Press Association message fiwm Vancouver states that the Theatre Guild, promoting dramatic art in British Columbia, has engaged Mr. Richard Bellairs, an Australian, as director. Mr. Bellairs is a native of Kyneton, Victoria, and is well known in New Zealand. He served in the war with the Anzacs in Palestine and Egypt. Mr. S.
