REFUNDS OF PETROL TAX
AUCKLAND FIGURES Dominion Special Service. Auckland May 6. Refunds of motor spirits tax totalling nearly £l2OO have been made to claimants in the Auckland postal district in connection with petrol used for non-motoring purposes during the first quarter of the year. It is expected that the claims at the end of the second quarter will not greatly exceed £lOOO, as many pleasure launches will be laid up for the winter. A number of claims relate to farm machinery.
