MENTAL PATIENT’S FATE.

When a patient in the Sunnyside -Mental Hospital, llollv -May Butler, aged 31, was attending to a lire on Sunday morning, her clothes caught tire, and she died later from severe burns. .Deceased had been an inmate since 1921. At an inquest to-day, the Coroner (Mr. Young, S.M.) found that the woman had died from the effects .if severe burns accidentally received. IL was stated in evidence that Buller was putting coal on the fire when her apron caught fire. She ran screaming down the ward, but was almost immediately seized by two sisters, who rolled her on the floor, and put blankets over her to smothbr the. flames. She was at once given medical attention.
