MANDATE OF IRAQ
DIPLOMATIC AGENT’S OPPOSITION London, February 17. Muzahim Bey, the diplomatic agent of Iraq in London, has suddenly been recalled, being replaced by the exPremier Jafar Pasha. Muzahim Bey stated that he favoured the most friendly relations with Britain, but “my Cabinet members knew that I am against the mandate for Iraq. There should be complete independence, against which the door is closed for another five years. As soon as I reach Bag’daJ I shall establish a new . Nationalist Party.”—A.P.A. and “Sun.”
