ROUND TRIP EXCURSION
The round trip excursion arranged by the Railway Department for Sunday, February 19, will afford patrons a splendid opportunity of making a comprehensive tour of Wellington province with a minimum outlay of time and money. A special train leaving Lambton at 8 a.m. will convey the excursionists over the Rimutaka Incline and through the Wairarapa district to the Manawatu Gorge. Here a stop of three hours and a half will be made in delightful picnicking surroundings. The Railway Department null supply hot water free of charge, and tea and refreshments will be obtainable at a refreshment stall. The journey will be continued at 4.40 p.m., the train proceeding via Palmerston North and reaching Thorndon at 8.34 p.m. A similar outing which was run recently was fully booked, up, and present indications point to next Sunday’s trip being equally well patronised.
