CONFERENCE NEXT WEEK.

Auckland, February 16. The annual conference of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical 'Association will open in Hamilton on (Wednesday next, and will conclude in Rotorua on February 27. A large number of members is expected to attend, including delegates from Australia. Interesting discussions on medical subjects will be a feature of the conference. Contributing to these will be Mr. Victor Bonney, of London, who has accepted an invitation of the New Zealand Obstetrical Society to be present at the conference. He will also be an official representative of the parent body of the association.

Besides the annual meeting of the Association, the business to be conducted in Hamilton will include annual meetings of the South Auckland Division, the New Zealand Medical Assurance Society, the New Zealand Obstetrical Society, and New Zealand Benevolent Fund. The social side of the conference will include a civic reception, a number of excursions, and other engagements. Delegates will leave for Rotorua on Saturday, February visiting _ the hydro-electric works at Arapuni on the way. Sunday and Monday will be spent in Rotorua.
