MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE CASES. Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. A fine of £5, in 'default 21 days’ imprisonment, was imposed on John Huseby, who was charged with the theft of 26 rubber tiles, valued at <£l, the property of the Fletcher Construction Co. An order was made for the return of the - tiles. A remand to January 17 was granted In the case of Andrew Alexander Clark, alias Hugh Grant, a labourer aged 20. who was charged with obtaining £5O from Bertram G. Spooner, at Lower Hutt by falsely lepresenting that he was a flight lieutenant from the SockRum Aerodrome, and that he had for sale a gramophone and records.
