DANNEVIRKE NOTES

Dannevirke, January 10. Mr. S. Andrews left for Wellington today in order lo meet his wife and daughter, who have ’ been on an extended holiday trip to the Old Land. An interesting wedding was celebrated at Knox Cliurcli on Wednesday morning by Rev. A E. Hunt (in the absence jf Rev. J. T. Macky, who is on holiday), when Emma Constance, youngest daugh ter of Mrs. A. 11. Rasmussen- of Danne virke, was married to Joseph William, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dobson, of Wanganui. Both bride and bridegroom were well known locally, and there was quite a big gathering at lhe church. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. W. B. Roe, of Para para uniu, was tn a frock of shell pink georgette over crepe de chine, the embroidered tulle veil being arranged with u coronet ot small orange blossoms. The bridesmaid was Miss K Miller, flocked in electric green crepe do chine, with pleated skirt and lace front, with which was worn a crinoline hat of biscuit shade, with green trimming lo tone. The best man was Mr A. E. Dobson, of Marton, brother of the bridegroom. Subsequently a reception was held, Mrs. Rasmussen receiving hei guests in a handsome frock of black crepe de chine, with apricot, while Mrs Dobson, mother of the bridegroom.. wore prune-coloured satin, with hat en suite. The bride’s going away frock was l of dove grey crepe de chine, trimmed with saxe blue, and blue repp coat, with hat to tone. Mr. and Mrs, J. Dobson will twirl# in Dannevirk#
