Clifton, of Havelock North, has left for a holiday visit to Christchurch. A very enjoyable evening was spent in the Wanganui East Town Hall recently when Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Price entertained about seventy guests to celebrate the coming of age of their youngest daughter Frances. Mr. W. A. Vei.tch, M.P., who was among the guests, emphasised the popularity of Mr. and Mrs. Price, and mentioned that this was the fifth occasion on which he had attended a majority birthday of a member of the Price family. Mr. and Mrs. George Humphreys, who have been the guests of Mrs. F. W. Parry, Mount Bruce, Masterton, have returned to Palmerston North. Miss Cliennells, of Hastings, is the guest of Mrs. W. B. Chennells, of Masterton. Mrs. T. B. Brown and family, _of Masterton, are at present camping near the Manawatu Gorge. Mrs. A. Stewart has returned to Masterton from a holiday spent at Eastbourne." . Edgar Holmwood has returned to Masterfon from a short trip. Miss Jackson, of Wellington, has been spending a holiday with Mrs. A. Clark, South 'Featherston, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs T. Jordan have returned to Mnsterton from a holiday visit to New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Daniell have returned to Masterton from a visit to New Plymouth. Commandant and Mrs Glanville, who have been in charge of the Salvation Army in Masterton for the last twelve months, have been transferred to Blenheim.
