EAST COAST SPORTS MEETING

SUCCESSFUL GATHERING AT ( HOMEWOOD Mastertou, January 7. The thirty-first annual sports meeting of the East Coast Sports Club was held at Homewood to-day. There was a record attendance of spectators, while entries compared favourably with those of previous years, and included competitors from Ponatahi, Langdale, Gladsoue, Tinui, and Alastertoii. In presenting the prizes at tbe conclusion of the day, Air. Hugh Alorrison, chairman of the Wairarapa Horse Sports Federation, paid a tribute to the work of the president of the East Coast Club, Air. I. Macßae, the secretary, Air. C. AlcCosker, and the other officers, to whom the success of tbe fixture was largely due. Results were as follow:—
