Friendly Societies Unbusinesslike Methods.—The British Registrar of Friendly Societies, in his report for 1926, criticises the lack of business methods, resulting iu heavy losses, due to officials’ defalcations. Ho said that in one instance the trustees’ neglect enabled an official to decamp with £3ooo.—tx'dney Sun Cable.
