Miss Gwen McCarthy, formerly a member of the Public Trust Office staff at Auckland, left yesterday for Sydney, cn route for China as a mission sister, blie volunteered for the Foreign Mission -civic© six years ago, and has the distinction of being th e flrst to leave the Dominion as a member ot the Notic Dann Missions for China, hitherto recruited exclusively in England.
