ASCENT OF MOUNT COOK
PERFECT VIEW OF BOTH COASTS BY Telegraph.— Press Association. Timaru, January 5. Mr. E. D. T. Lewis, Christchurch, ascended Mount Cook on Wednesday, accompanied by Guides V. Williams and J. Pope. ’ The party set out at 2 a.m. on Wednesday and returned at midnight the same day. They say the view was very clear from the top of Mount Cook, both east a btl west coasts being perfectly visible.
