The summer weather has not been so generous for holiday-makers for some years, and mnnv 'found it extremely hard to settle down to work again. The city has been a place of strange faces during the holidays, but a reshuffling took place yesterday when numerous visitors departed, while many Wanganui people returned from the holidays. An inquest concerning the death of Edward William Head, 18 years of age, who died on Sunday from wounds received at Turakina as the result of the accidental discharge of a pea-rifle on December 27, was held yesterday before the acting Coroner, Mr. J. J. Pilkington. The Coroner returned a verdict that death was due to the accidental discharge of the rifle and mentioned that no blame was attachable to anyone.
