POLICE CASES. Mr. J. 11. Salmon, S.M., presided in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Patrick Darcy, who was charged with wilfully damaging electric light fittings valued at Al, the property of the N.Z. Government, was fined £2, and ordered to make good the amount of the damage. On a charge of drunkenness he was ordered to forfeit bis bail, 10s. On a" charge of breaking and, entering the counting house of the Wellington Croquet Club with intent to commit a crime therein, Sydney Charles Leckie was remanded to January 11. Donald Clark, a labourer, aged 25, admitted failing to report regularly under the terms of his release ou probation for theft in February last. Accused lias told that he would have to make full restitution, and was ordered to have his period of probation extended another twelve months
