BROADCAST FROM LONDON

GOOD RECEPTION THROUGH SYDNEY Commencing at one o’clock this morning Wellington broadcast listeners were able to hear music from 2LO London on their loudspeakers with good volume. Shortly before one o’clock broadcast station 21'C, Sydney, announced that they had just received a telephone message from Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd., stating that they could switch over to London in a few minutes. Within a brief space a very fine dance band in London treated Wellington listeners to foxtrots and other items These were followed by vocal numbers with pianoforte accompaniments. Although there was much static, it was not sufficient to mar reception, and there was only a slight fluctuation in the strength of the transmission.
