GENERAL ATTACK OF FENG TIEN
SHANSI ARMY REPORTED TO BE CRUMBLING
Shanghai, October 11. The Feng Tien general attack, with the object of subjugating the Shansi rebels, has been launched on three fronts, and is reported to be progressing favourably. Fifteen hundred Shansi guerrillas discovered within the Feng Tien lines, intended for a surprise attack on Peking, were betrayed and massacred. The Shansi army is reported to be crumbling.
