UNWARRANTED REFLECTIONS
BIBLE IN SCHOOLS CONTROVERSY
Our attention has been drawn to a letter appearing in our issue of Thursday last concerning the Bible-in-schools question, and signed by James Mansfield.
This letter contains statements reflecting on Professor T. A. Hunter, and those associated with him. We sincerely regret publication thereof, and, needless to say, this paper dissociates itself entirely from the statements made by our correspondent, which we believe to be entirely without foundation insofar as they contain any reflection on the honour and integrity of the gentlemen referred to. While our opinion may at times differ from tlicirti on questions of public importance, we appreciate and respect the sincerity of their principles and purpose, and regret Hint anything published in this paper should cause them unwarranted harm mid annoyance.
