On Saturday afternoon the Featherston Defence Itiflo Club's season was officially opened when the competition for the Wakel.y and McTaggatt Cups was started. Owing to tho high wind it was not advisable to put; the long range targets up, so members had Io content themselves with the 300 yards range only. The following are the results:— shoot, han. total.
