« PALMERSTON TO WELLINGTON RACE. Among the competitors in the Palmerston North to Wellington road race tomorrow are cracks from all over the Dominion, including Gosa and Blakey (from Christchurch), and Blakeway (from Auckland). The winner of the event (which is to finish at the Basin Reserve about 4 p.m.) is to bo sent by the Wellington Centre to contest the amateur road cycling championship of Australia and New Zealand, the famous Colac to Melbourne contest, which is to bo -held on November 19. A full sports programme will be held at the Basin Reserve on Saturday afternoon, and at night, the prizes won by the cyclists will be presented at a social and dance, to be held at the Basin Reserve pavilion.
