K warning regarding the quality of milk offered bv restaurant keepers to the public has been issued bv Dr T. J. Hughes, medical officer of health at Auckland (reports the New Zealand Herald”). ‘lt is not generally recognised by restaurant keepers that it is necessary that milk supplied in restaurants selling bv glass or in jugs on teatables shall be of such quality as to coiuplv with the regulations of the Sale of Foods and Drugs Act,” says Dr. Hughes. “Several complaints have been received recently of watering and skimming of milk, which is an offence. The Department intends to take action in future where milk does not comply y,’ith the legulatidns.
