DRAPERS AND CLOTHIERS’ ASSOCIATION
4 Tile annual meeting of the Wellinglon Drapers. Clothiers. Mercers, and Boot Retailers’ Association was held at the D. 1.0. tea rooms. There was a large and representative gathering of members, The mooting was preceded by a dinner, Mr. W. Simm. manager, D.1.C., ltd., having invited all members for the the occasion. Ths report and balancesheet, which were adopted, showed that during tho year good work had been done in tho interests of members by the executive and officers. , ~ . The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. G. E. Fownes; vjee-presideuts, Messrs. W. Cole and C. F.” Smith (drapers), P. L. Brady (boot retailers); executive. Messrs. 11. Gilmer. A. P. Smith. IL Smith, M. Simm. D. S. Patrick. L. Evans, IT. Price (drapers), A. E. Mann and G. Niven (boot retailers); auditor,. Mr. vv. E. Nichols, F.T.A.N.Z.; advisory board, Messrs. D. S. Patrick and A. P. Smith. A vote of thanks to the retiring presi"dent (Mr. A. P. Smith) and members of the executive was carried unanimously.
