NURSES ENTERTAINED
The delegates to the conference of the Tr iined Nurses’ Association and a ber of \Vellington members and others Interested were entertained Mrs Valintine, Mrs. Paget, and B1 t c A nell at a social gathering, held .in the Pioneer Club Hall. Flowers were arraiiged everywhere, and the guests 9 n J f 0> o !!, meeting and talking with those froni other places. There was, an amusing competition based on the titles of books, which was won by Dr. Ada Paterson and Miss Stott, and a playlet by Stephen Leacock was read by members of the club plav-reading circle. Conversation was the'rest of the programme, and filled the evening, and supper was served. Mrs. Valintine wore a gown of pale P lnK taffetas with white lace scarf: Mrs. Paget, black with jet and coloured etequiu embrolderv; and Miss Bicknell, deep blue crepe de chine. The guests included the Minister of Public Health (lion J. A Young'. Dr. Valintine. Dr. Paget. Lady and Miss Pomarc. Lady Rhodes. Miss Hines Dr. and Mrs. Begg. Dr. and Mrs Hu-g. Mr. C. M. Luke. Mrs. McVicar. Dr. Pp< MiR9 Newman. (St. Helens). Mrs Kidd (Auckland). Miss Tennant (Dunedin), (adv Luke. Miss Bayley (Auckland). Miss Bucklev (Christchurch), Miss D. Brandon, and Miss Willis.
