The programme presented by Mr. E. Lnnis to his seafaring guests at the bailors’ Friend Society on Tuesday showed much • ©eli'© id preparation, and resulted in many encores.. The performers were: Mrs. Hodgson, and Messrs. C. A. Wilson, Dyer, Cooper. Rowe, B. Innis, and Collins. Mrs. Hodgson was at the piano. "What of This” was chosen by Mr. J. Moore for his temperance chat. Yet again nledivs were forthcoming. The novel competition filled a niche in the proceedings. The prizes came from Kelburn and Marlborough, and went to men on various ships.
