ARRIVAL IN ROME
OF LORD MAYOR OF LONDON Rugby, October 3.
Sir Rowland Blades, Lord Mayor of London, who is paying an official visit to Rome, this morning laid wreaths on the Royal tombs at the Pantheon and on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Lord ■ Mayor and his party afterwards went in municipal motor-cars to see the important excavations at Ostia, the ancient port of Rome. This afternoon Sir Rowland and Lady Blades, their daughters and the Sheriffs of London, with their wives, were received bv Signor Mussolini at the Villa Torlonia, tlie Prime Minister’s summer residence.—British Official Wireless.
