DEADLOCK IN PACT NEGOTIATIONS BY Telegraph.—press association.— CoPYBIGHT. (Rcc. October 4, 5.5 p.m.) Riga, October 3. A deadlock has apparently arisen in the Polish-Soviet pact negotiatiaons, owing to Poland’s determination to secure Polish Baltic interests. The Soviet has rejected all lie Polish suggestions in connection with these, ns a Polish attempt to come between the Soviet anil other neighbours, 'flic “Izvestia” declares that Poland’s attemp to challenge and check Soviet influence in the Baltic States represents a most serious difficulty, anil bluntly tells Poland that only when it adopts a distinterested attitude towards Soviet Baltic relations can negotiations progress.—“ The Times.”
