; MEETING IN MASTERTON Masterton, October 4. i At the fifty-first annual meeting of the i llasterton Permanent Investment and Building Society, the chairman (Mr. W 8. Cliennells) commented on the satisfactory nature of the operations during ; the year, which, he said, had beeii the best period experienced for some time. He hoped the society would continue to be in a position where it could give a fair return of interest. He paid a tribute to the work of the manager, Mr. J. B. Keith. Mr. D. M. Graham remarked that the balance-sheet was the best the society had presented for many years. The retiring directors, Messrs. F. G Eton and J. L. Hughes, were re-elected, while Messrs. G. W. Sellar and N. H. James were again appointed auditors.. Votes of thanks were accorded the directors and manager.
