COOL STORAGE
Dr. KIDD IN AUCKLAND. Dominion Special Service. Auckland, October 3. "I have had a very interesting tour through New Zealand and I ani now looking forward to making investigations in Auckland,” said Dr. Franklin Kidd, who arrived in Auckland this morning irom Wellington to carry out work on behalf of New Zealand in connection with cool storage facilities., Dr. Kidd is the officer in charge of the low temperature research station, Cambridge University, England, and is recognised as one of the lending authorities in the world on the subject. Two years ago he supervised a, number of experiments in connection with the shipments of fruit which the Commonwealth Government was interest in. Arrangements have been made for the visitor to inspect the cool storage facilities in Auckland, for meat, dairy produce, and fruit, and also, a number of the orchards in proximity to the city Dr. Kidd’s observation's in New Zealand will form the subject of a revolt to the Government.
