OCCIDENTAL HOTEL
PROPOSED NEW SITE
Palmerston North, September 12. The' site on which it is proposed to erect the new Occidental Hotel was the subject of discussion at the adjourned annual meeting of the Palmerston Licensing Committee to-day, when Mr. A. IM. bngley, on behalf of the purchaser of the license of the hotel, asked Mr. I. L. Stout, S.M., who presided, for an expression of opinion as to the • suitability of the site proposed. The site is now occupied by Everybody’s Theatre. Mr. Stout replied that the matter had been discussed by the committee, and that the views of members could be obtained privately by counsel from the clerk. , Another matter mentioned at to-day s meeting of the committee was an appli* cation by Alexander Charters Bradley for a renewal of his publican’s license. This matter was adjourned until the next meeting of the committee.
