MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE AND BY-LAW CASES AT PALMERSTON NORTH.
Palmerston North, September 12. Police and by-law cases were dealt with in the Magistrate’s Court to-day by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. For allowing the number-plate of his motor-lorry to be obscured, Arthur Richards was fined 10s., with costs 10s. For driving a motor-car without a driver’s license, Thomas Ropawa was fined 10s.. with costs 10s. ■■ Alfred Short was fined £3, with costs for crossin" the railway line at Cook Street without seeing that the line was driving a motor-cycle in a manner dangerous to the public at Ashhurst on September 4, Frank Dyer was fined £2, with costs 3s. For driving a motorcycle without a drivers license, he was fined 10s„ with costs 3s. Cycling without lights cost Stanley Newman 10s., and costs 10s. For riding a bicycle on the footpath Roy Caulson was fined 10s., with costs 33 j n. Little, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving a motor-car in a manner dangerous to Hie public, was convicted, and fined £5, with costs £1 18 For riding an unregistered motor-cycle A. E. Jeffrey was fined 10s„ with 10s. costs. _______
