Norwood) had forwarded to liitn b* the Wellington town cleu a petition bearing over two thousand signatures, praying that he should use ( 1S weight and ’ influence as Chief Magistrate of the citv to have Anniversary Dav kept up as a holiday on Monday next instead of to-day.
