WORKMAN ELECTROCUTED
Dominion Special. Dunedin, December 25. Robert Bayliss, employed in the electric power and lighting department of the city corporation, was electrocuted this morning while carrying out his duties in North-East: Valley. Deceased was a married man with three children, residing at 4 Carey Avenue, South Dunedin. It would appear that about 9 a.m. a young lady, who was passing along Gladstone Road, saw deceased hanging head down, from an electric light pole, and she at once rang up the,ambulance and the police. When assistance came, the man was found to be dead. The Coroner (Mr. H. W. Bundle, S.M.) opened the inquest this afternoon, and formal evidence of identification having been taken, the matter was adjourned.
