ELECTRICITY IN NELSON
POWER BOARD PROPOSAL., Dominion, Special. Nelson, October 14. Tho initial steps preparatory to setting up a power board for the Nelson district were taken to-day at a meeting of delegates representing the interested local bodies. After a full discussion it was resolved to set up a provisional committee to collect information as to the possibilities of a hydro-electric scheme. This does not mean that a power board will be formed—nil it indicates is that information jvill be obtained and submitted to the local bodies. Subsequent action will be left in the hands of tho local bodies or their delegates. The meeting was representative of the whole province. The Mayor of Nelson presided, and among those _ present was Mr. Kissell, chief electrical engineer.
