The City Council last night agreed that tenders be called for the suppl?' of one two-ton truck for the use of the waterworks department, and that the offer of Messrs. Leyland Motors to recondition three Leyland trucks in the urn of £975. be accepted, in lieu of calling for tenders for the supply of three new trucks. It was also decided that authority be granted for the purchase of 12 Hudson one-yard tip trucks with necessary spares at an estimated cost ’’l ss, for use at the masticator and Ngahauranga quarry.
