SUICIDE WHILE IN ILL-HEALTH
INQUEST ON F. M. WINTER. Tho inquest on the body found on the shore at Miramar last Monday was 11 eld yesterday, before the Coroner, Mr. E. Page, S.M., evidence proving it to be that-of Frank Milton Winter-(aged 83), who disappeared from his homo at Lyall Bay on Sunday, August 15, leaving a letter to the effect that he intended to commit suicide. Mrs. Winter,' widow of deceased, said sho last saw her husband on the day of his disappearance. Tho next day she received a letter. Tie had never before expressed any intention of committing suicide, but had been in bad health tor some time, and had been receiving medical attention. Furflier evidence was given as to the finding of Winter's coat and cap on the Miramar Wharf on August 15. and of the discovery on the beach last Monday of his body,' for which search had been made for some time. The Coroner found that Winter wasdrowned near Miramar on August. 15. death being due to his having committed suicide while in ill-health.
