INJURED AT FOOTBALL
FIVE CASES IN HOSPITAL At 5 o'clock last Saturday afternoon there were admitted to the Public Hospital four men who had received injuries while playing football during the afternoon. The names of the injured playeis, together with their ages and the nature of their injuries, are given below;—Albert Wilson, aged 21, suffering from a fractured ankle; Sigmur Wilson, aged 25, also suffering from a fractured ankle; Markham Warwick, aged 22, suffering from injuries to his legs; Halmes Askew, aged 25, suffering from a fractured leg. Of these players, Warwick is a member of the Athletic senior team, and his injuries were received during the match between Athletic and Poneke. It is reported that these men are getting on as well as can be expected, and that their injuries are not of a serious nature. At ten minutes past twelve last night a man named William Walse, 26 years of age, was admitted to the hospital with abdominal injuries, also received while playing football on Saturday. He also, it is stated, is progressing satisfactorily.
