FAITH-HEALING ON BIG SCALE
4 {Rec. July 8, 5.5 p.m.) Loncon, July 7. An extraordinarv sample of faithhealing on a big' scale was revealed by Sir William Hardy, F.R.S., in Ins presidential address at the Royal Saintarv Institute congress He related how a mass experiment was carried out at a munition factory in war time in order to test the value of war bread. The bread used throughout was intentionally war bread of the worst form, all the ingredients being samples of the worst kinds, but the impression was conveyed that the test was being carried out with pure wheaten flour. All the men and women concerned believed that they enjoyed pure peace bread. "What was the result?” he continued. “They thoroughly enjoyed the bread, and reported enthusiastic;il!v on it. The general well-being of nil concerned was considerably improved and the objective maladies from which thev suffered as a result of eating war bread disappeared entirely.”— Aus.-N.Z. Calilc Assn.
