PROTECTION AGAINST SOVIET
« ROUMANTA AND POLAND CONCLUDE TREATY. (Rec. June 20, 5.5 p.m.) Viepna, June 19. A surprise announcement was made at a conference of Little Entente Powers that Roumania had concluded a treaty of defence with Poland for mutual protection on the Polish frontier and the Bessarabian Border against Soviet aggression. The Czecho-Slovak and Jugoslav Ministe-s declared that thev took cognisance of but reserved judgment in the matter.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
