PILGRIMS FROM EVERY NATION

EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS IN CHICAGO (Rec. June 20, 5.5 p.tn.) New York, June 19. Chicago messages state that a wave of pilgrims from every nation in the world has swept into the city for the Eucharistic Congress. Railroad officials declare that the crowds exceed anything they have ever experienced. It is estimated that 200,000 people have reached Chicago by motors, trains, and steamteats, and another 350,000 are expected to-morrow. The formal ceremonies will open at midnight to-night with the first Masses in various churches, after which Masses will be held in every church until noon to-morrow, with Cardinals, Archbishops, and Bishops as celebrants. All the visiting Cardinals and High Church dignitaries will gather in the Holy Name Cathedral to-morrow for the formal installation of Cardinal Bonzano as official Papal Legate for the Con-gress.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable' Assn.
