RoSj«jt Stewart Banner found guilty, in the Supremo Court, of four charges of indecent assault at Rawene, was sentenced by Mr Justice Stringer ti seven years’ imprisonment with hard labour. Counsel for accused had raised the point that the jury was misdirected. The Judge said the verdict was correct, but there were things that might influence the Gov-ernor-in-Counoil to grant a new trial. The accused. His Honour added, vas a menace to the community..
