EDUCATION BOARD ELECTION
f The following members retire from the Wellington Education Board on August 11, by effuxion of time, but arc eligible for re-election: — Wellington Urban Area: Messrs. J. J. Clark, T. Forsyth; Hutt-Petone Urban Area: Mr. G. T. London; Rural Areas: Hutt-Horowhenua, Mr. C. I. Harkness; Wairarapa, Air. R. McLeod; Marlborough, Air. D. McCallum. It is understood that with the exception of Air. C. I. Harkness, who has announced his intention of retiring, the remaining members mentioned above will offer themselves for re-election. Tlie election takes place on Wednesday, July 21. Along with tlie ordinary election will bo held an extraordinary election of one member in the Wellington Urban Area, on account of the resignation of the Hon. R. A. Wright, Minister of Education.
