NOT MISLAID

RANFURLY SHIELD AND MOASCAR CUP

The whereabouts of the Ranfurly Shield and Moascar Cup, reported yesterday to be mislaid, is disclosed in a letter to the Editor from the secretary of the Associated Provinces Court of Wellington, Nelson, Hawke’s Bay, and Taranaki of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition (Mr. R. Johnston). Mr. Johnston writes under yesterday’s date: — “In this morning’s paper there is an item in connection with the Ranfurly Shield and Moascar Cup. “The position is that these trophies were forwarded to our court at the Exhibition and were displayed there during the period of the Exhibition. They were packed, and at the request of the secretary of the Napier Chamber of Commerce were consigned direct to him. They left Dunedin on Tuesday last, and should be in Napier this week, as other. trophies which left at the same time arrived in Wellington this morning.”
