AHRAMAR LADIES’ CLUB. A four-ball competition was played at Miramar yesterday at the opening of the Miramar Ladies’ Golf Club. Mrs. Gavin and Mrs. Bigstrup were the winners, with a. score of 8 up on bogey. The next best were Mrs. Weston and Mrs. Gambrill, 2 up; Mrs. R. T. Ward and Mrs. Brook, 1 up; Mrs. Nathan and Mrs. Flayman, 1 up; Mrs. Upham and Miss V. Upham, Miss M. Seed and Mrs. Beasley, 1 up; Wrs. Pannonson and Mrs. Caughley, all square; Miss Brandon and Mrs. Marshbanks, all square; Mrs. Cromb and Miss Taylor, all square. In the opening sections, Mrs. Tanner and Miss Bandy scored wins. Mrs. Holmes won the putting. TARANAKI LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. By Tjslbgrapii.—Press Association. New Plymouth, April 9. Mrs. Russell Grace, Wanganui, won the championship at the Taranaki ladies golf tournament which was concluded here to-day. Miss L. Quin, Eltham, was runner-up.
