SEATOUN AND BAYS
Mr. FI. P. Rawson presided at the monthly meeting of the Seatoun and Bays Association on Thursday night. Messrs. P. Bennett and W. Blyth (committeemen) were appointed delegates to the Civic League. Messrs. W. Murie, W. L. Palmer, and B. Anderson were appointed delegates to the Eastern Suburbs League. The committee discussed matters relating particularly to certain streets in Seatoun that had received no attention whatsoever since Miramar Borough had been taken over by the City Council. Recognition of work already done in other parts was gratefully acknowledged, but it was hoped that special attention would be given to streets still in a “state of nature” when the estimates for 1926-27 were prepared. Pot-holes and other damage resulting from motor traffic in Munro Street were particularly mentioned. It was resolved to call the attention of the City Council again to sand drifts on the Worser Bay road.
