Sensitive, imaginative people might have got a shock when they saw a wagon pulling .out from the Exhibition recently loaded with what appeared to be the charred remains of several human beings and a horse (says the Dunedin “Star”). The horse’s head hung over the back in a singed, dejected manner, while the “humans,” whose features were blurred into an unrecognisable mass, and whose clothing was ruined even beyond the "fire sale” limit, were huddled together in the bottom of the conveyance.
