COAL SUPPLIES
STOCKTON MINE IDLE By Telegraph.—Press Association Westport, March 29. The Stockton mine is idle as a result of a dispute between the miners and the management over the employment of some men, the management having, it is alleged, given preference to some latecomers. The miners contend that the men unemployed and waiting in the district should have been first considered. Apparently all was right on Friday to resume work, but a* hitch occurred on Saturday and the mine is still idle.
