HUTT CLUB. , The Hutt Golf Club opened its season du Saturday with a mixed foursome. Sixty-two pairs competed, and the course was in very good order. The best cards handed in were as follow: —P. White-Parsons and Miss M. Seed (8), (Miramar), 1 up; M. Evans (Hutt) and Miss V. Upham (Miramar). (5), 1 up, V. G. Masters and Miss L. Chapman (17), all square; Colonel and Mrs. R. O. Chesnoy (9). 1 down; H. G. Thomson and Mrs. Cromb (12), 2 down; C. M. Banks and Mrs. C. M. Banks (12), 2 down; J. L. Black and Mrs. Richardson (7), 2 down; S. M. Hobbs and Mrs. Holmes’ (15), 2 down? R. T. Ross and Miss Holmes (16). 3 down. MORNINGTON CLUB. The Mornington Club held its opening on Saturday, the ceremony being performed by Mr. J. D. Sievwright, the club captain. During the afternoon a mixed foursome was played, and won by Mr. A. G. Williams and Miss Retd, who carried the flag to just short of the eighteenth green. During the week-end a: silver button competition was played, the best cards handed in being* J. M. Millard (6), 4 up; J. S. Bowncss (5.), 2 up; H. J. Shanks (2), 1 up; J. L. Courts (14), 1 up. MIRAMAR CLUB. A stroke handicap competition was played in conjunction with the treeplanting cup competition at Miramar on Saturday. The snior event was won by W. A. Arthur, 81-4—77, and the junior by A. D. Kerr, 96—20 —76.
