TWO MEN HEAVILY FINED

Marton, March 26. At/ the Bulls Magistrate’s Court, this morning, Francis Thomas Durran and Colin Edwards, described by the police as “undesirables of the worst type,” were fined £2fl. with the alternative z of three months’ imprisonment, for the unlawful conversion of a. motor-car, and wore convicted aud discharged on a charge of stealing benzine. Durran. for using obscene language, was fined £3O, with the alternative of three months imprisonment. Accused had been sentenced, Durran to nine months and Edwards to three months, and appealed to the Bench for the option of paying fines, and the sentences were amended to those givcu above. Doth had lists of previous convictions.
