Mention was made at Thursday’s meeting of the Highways Board that Motor Inspector Morrison, the officer who patrols the llu*.t Road, was being compelled to do his work on a machine that was not adequate for the purpose. . The chairman (Mr. C. J. B. Norwood) intimated that it was Ins intention to see the Police Commissioner (Mr. W. B. Mcllveney) about the matter, and other phases of city traffic control. Mr. R. A. Wright said that it seemed as though one year’s work had crippled the machine. It did not go fast enough. The citv engineer: It is the case of a 1922 model trying to chase a 1926 model. He can go 55 miles an hour and he can’t catch them. Knowing it, they only laugh, and sometimes put their fingers to their nose. The matter was left to the Mayor to attend ta.
