AUTUMN BLOOMS
FEILDING SOCIETY’S DISPLAY Feilding, March 26 That it was the best show the society has yet held was the unanimous opinion regarding the autumn fixture held at Feilding to-day by the Feilding Horticultural Society. This applies both from the point of view of number of entries and quality of exhibits, many magnificent blooms being on show. The decorative classes, which are always good, were exceptionally fine, although the entries in this class were fewer than usual. Dahlias and asters formed a very fine exhibit, while gladiolas have never before been seen in Feilding in such quantities. The stage decorations gave evidence of a good deal of work bv the Special Committee. The champion dahlia, Miss Murdoch’s “Oceanic,” had a well-de-served honour conferred upon it.
